Dave Demarest, Sr.

Owner and founder of Metropolitan Car-o-liner

Dave Sr grew up as a body repair technician in New Jersey and later co-owned a collision repair shop that grew to over 10,000 square feet.

As a shop owner looking for innovative, quality repair equipment, in 1978 Dave discovered and began selling a line of frame machines from his body shop.

With his collision shop’s involvement with Volvo of North America, Dave was asked to evaluate a new frame repair bench from Sweden – Car-O-Liner. From that day, Dave began to market the Car-O-Liner frame repair system and its unique and precise universal measuring system to other shops.

To this day, the company Dave Sr. began over 40 years ago continues to be the largest selling Car-O-Liner distributor in the world.
